For all student lawyers out there, written at the end of a very depressing week of crucial law exams
But it was unfounded anxiety! I passed and then went on to qualify as a Solicitor in November 1993
Law Exam Blues
By Fahim Firfiray
Law School, June 1990
I left Intent out of Crime
without a hint of remorse
In Trusts I omitted
two thirds of the course
In my Tort paper, Negligence,
was never debated
Without Remedies, my Contract
was somewhat Frustrated
Constitutional was studied
over many dark nights
But the paper they gave me
Breached my Human Rights
In Land my answer
was crudely concise
I told the client in the question
To seek legal advice!
So rather than smiling
from ear to ear
If feel I have just put paid
to my legal career
